Myers’s Sidecar

Recipe: Myers’s Sidecar (serves one)

  • 1 1/2 oz. Myers’s dark rum
  • 3/4 oz. Cointreau
  • 3/4 oz. lemon juice
  • Slice of lemon peel

Shake rum, Cointreau, and lemon juice in a shaker with ice. Pour into glass and garnish with lemon peel.

We were experimenting with variants of the Daiquiri (rum, lime juice, and sugar), and ended up really liking the version where we swapped lime juice with lemon juice and sugar with Cointreau. This drink is really just a Sidecar, but with the Cognac replaced with Myers’s rum, for a more tropical flavor. Another similar drink is the Cuban Sidecar. We hope you enjoy this sweet and sour cocktail!
