Recipe: Almond Iced Coffee (serves one)
- 2 parts extra-strength coffee, chilled
- 1 part skim milk
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
- ground cinnamon and nutmeg
Fill a 12-oz. glass with ice. Add 2 parts coffee to 1 part milk. Add extracts and stir. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
We make this simple coffee drink most weekend mornings in the summer. The almond and vanilla extracts give it a hint of sweet flavor, but if you prefer it sweeter, add 1/2 tsp. superfine sugar.
