We liked our aged Negroni made with wood staves, so we tried aging a batch the real way in a miniature barrel. We ordered the barrel from Amazon, and got it personalized with our initials. After one month of aging, one of us liked the resulting cocktail, saying it tasted like a mellow, chocolatey version of the Negroni. The other thought it tasted musty. Regardless, we both preferred the version made with wood staves: not only was it very yummy, but it was easier to make.
