Recipe: Bentley Margarita (serves one or two)
- 2 oz. añejo (or gold) tequila
- 1 oz. Grand Marnier
- 1 oz. fresh lime juice
- Lime peel for garnish
Shake liquid ingredients vigorously with ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into a cocktail glass, and garnish with lime peel.
When made with reposado tequila, this cocktail is called the Cadillac Margarita. Since we made it with añejo tequila instead, we call it the Bentley Margarita. This recipe uses a higher percentage of tequila than the traditional margarita, uses Grand Marnier in place of the Cointreau, and is served up. If you’re a fan of margaritas, you should try the lesser known precursor, the sidecar.
