
Recipe: Strawberry Pistachio Smoothie (serves one)
- 1 cup non-fat plain kefir
- 1 heaping cup frozen strawberries
- 2 Tbsp shelled pistachios
- 1 tsp dried peppermint
- 1/2 cup low-fat milk
- dash of cinnamon
- fresh strawberry for garnish
Blend ingredients in blender until smooth. Pour into glass and garnish with fresh strawberry.
Recently we’ve been studying for our WSET Level 2 wine exam, so we’ve been drinking wine — or sometimes spittooning it — instead of making cocktails. But, we’ve still been making lots of smoothies! We tend to follow the same pattern as our mango lassi recipe, with different combinations of fresh or frozen fruit.
This variation is inspired by a pistachio-mint smoothie we had at the Ojai Valley Inn. The pistachios add richness, and the peppermint makes this strawberry smoothie extra refreshing.
