Recipe: Elderflower Thistle (serves one)
- 1.5 oz. Scotch
- 3/4 oz. St. Germain elderflower liqueur
- 1 dash (= 1/8 tsp.) Angostura bitters
- lemon peel
Stir liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Add to ice-filled glass and garnish with lemon peel.
We love the unique flavor of elderflowers in St. Germain liqueur, but a lot of the cocktails made with it are very sweet. We found this drier recipe on foodandwine.com. It’s in the same spirit as one of our favorite drinks, the Rusty Nail, but uses St. Germain and bitters in place of the Drambuie.
