Recipe: Champagne Cooler (serves one)
- 1 oz. Grand Marnier
- 1/2 oz. Cognac
- 2 dashes (=1/4 tsp.) Angostura bitters
- 3-5 oz. champagne or sparkling wine
- orange twist
Pour Grand Marnier, Cognac, and Angostura bitters into champagne flute. Slowly top with champagne. Garnish with orange twist.
We wanted to finish a bottle of sparkling wine recently and decided to try out some champagne cocktails. This turned out to be one of our favorites. It’s a serious cocktail, but would still be good for brunch. For another serious champagne cocktail but featuring tequila, try the Jumping Jellybean, or for a more traditional brunch drink, the Grand Mimosa.
